The surgery seems to have gone well! They didn't end up having to resection her colon-they were able to remove the endometrioma and building adhesions without anything major or opening up the surgery (she does have 4 incisions this time instead of the 2 she had before). They said they were able to get a good amount of the colon adhesions off since the GI surgeon was there. She had a team of 3 amazing Dr's. Her tubes are open but very inflamed. And, they put something on/around/near (this detail is fuzzy) the ovary to hopefully prevent future adhesions to it. Her stomach is pretty bruised and hard right now-they did a lot of extensive work. But, healing time has begun and we are hopeful! Seems that we'll be starting IVF towards the end of April! She'll be on something called Aygestin starting tomorrow to help keep the endo at bay until we are able to being our fertility options again.
I ran into some of our friends from church while picking up prescriptions and they had a wonderful little gift bag of PJ's and blanket for her that she is sleeping with now. She also just had something delivered, but, we haven't had a chance to peek at it yet.
Thank you for all the support and prayers! Keep 'em coming as she continues to heal-it's going to be about a week or two before she is fully up and about. All of our friend's and family's love and support has been so amazing, and, we feel so blessed to have you all in our lives!
And, welcome to the world to our new baby niece! We are so excited to hear that she is hear and can't wait to meet her!

Hello, my friend Allison! I'm glad to hear things went well! I love you! Let me know what I can do :-)
Weston,
Thank you for posting this detailed update. This is great news! I was concerned that things were going to be worse with this surgery than they were. That is not to minimize what was done, of course. It just could have been worse. Please give Allison the message that she's in my thoughts and prayers (as are you). :)
