Of course...something has to go wrong, right?
Mold.
There was a piece of drywall (for some reason) that the contractor didn't put in his quote in our room. Anyway, when we were doing our walk through we noticed it wasn't done, but, it wasn't a big place so we decided we could do it. So, today we went to constructing. We needed to cut a bigger whole into the drywall to fix what the folks did after the flood-to do it right. As we were cutting, there it was...mold. Mold in the insulation. Not on the drywall though. That was a good thing. We cut some more to try to see how far it was spread...we finally had to stop. we decided to call insurance on Monday. We aren't sure if this happened from the "flood", or, if this was existing mold.
So, there goes that.
We ended up spending the rest of our day in the yard. I (almost) finished mulching the beds (ran out of mulch), and Wes mowed. I guess tomorrow we'll paint the guest bath and start moving stuff back into the kitchen/guest bathroom, and, wait till next week to see what's going on with the master. We taped up plastic well over the exposed wall so the mold won't swirl around the house.
2008 has been such a roller coaster year. I'm ready for the teacup ride any day now.

Oh no...UGGH, just when there was light at the end of the tunnel! At least you found it now instead of later...way later when it had spread. I hope you get this fixed asap.
