We remember

One year ago today, we became parents. Just a little too early. A year ago we were living every pregnant couples' nightmare... knowing we would never know our son in this world. Although it was one of the worst, it was one of the most beautiful as well as I gave birth and we held our baby boy. If only for a little while, that time will remain in our hearts forever.

On this past Monday we finally buried Wyatt's ashes. We laid them to rest with Weston's father in Charleston-they placed them right underneath his headstone. It was a beautiful, peaceful day. One thing that was said by one of Weston's brothers that really touched our hearts (and evoked quite a few tears)-"If one good thing came of this, is that dad never got to see any of his grandchildren here on earth-and now, now he has one with him". We are going to have a headstone made for Wyatt, hopefully while we are in town for Thanksgiving next week. It will be placed right in front of Skip's. Thank you Julia for setting all of the burial arrangements up for us! It truly was a beautiful day!

Beautiful Hydrangea arrangement for Wyatt

Wyatt's ashes were wrapped and buried in the little bear blanket

Happy Birthday Wyatt. Thank you for allowing us to know the love of being parents. That is something this world can never take away from us!

We miss you terribly!

What a beautiful thing to say. I hope that thinking of Wyatt being with his grandfather and your grandfather brings comfort. It looks like it was a beautiful day.

Happy Birthday, precious Wyatt!
You are both in my thoughts and prayers. What a special place for Wyatt to be, right by his grandpa in burial and with him in Heaven.
Love and hugs and prayers,
Debi

Awww what a wonderful way to do this. We still have MG's ashes in our room. I can't seem to part with them.

I'm glad you are making peace with Wyatt not being here for his first birthday.

That was a hard one and I'm still not looking forward to the 2nd one.

Hugs
